  • 2 Tbsp fresh garlic, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup vodka
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine, such as chardonnay
  • 1 cup fresh basil tightly packed, finely chopped
  • 4 cups plum tomatoes, peeled and finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup bias sliced green onions, for garnish
